DESCRIPTION:The GKI is a fun weekend that allows participants to do an Ocean Swim event on Saturday 15th June and/or a Trail Run/Hike event on Sunday 16th June. \nActivities are friendly and non-competitive\, although we do have a little bit of prize money on offer for those keen to test themselves against Sundays Full Keppel (27km trail run). \nYou can attend either day (remember that you’ll need to catch a ferry or find other means to the Island)\, or why not spend the weekend on the island by taking advantage of the two-night accommodation package? \nCLICK HERE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATIONS – OPEN NOW! \nAbout the EventsBoth the swim and run/hike events are designed to be as inclusive and user friendly as possible\, including the opportunity to go the full distance or opt for one of the shorter distances during the event. \nThe Ocean swim consists of a 5km course with options to exit at 1km\, 2km\, 3km and 4km. BONUS – you also have the option to opt back in at one of the next stages. Water safety will be on standby\, but participants need to be sufficiently proficient swimmers to enter this event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Trail Run/Hike Consists of five sections that total 27km (“The Full Keppel“). DESCRIPTION:Come along\, learn and experience a triathlon in a supportive environment. You don’t need fancy gear or any experience – just a willingness to tri!\n\n \nThis event is proudly sponsored by Capricorn Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service and Rockhampton Regional Council.\n\n \n\nREGISTER ONLINE HERE – Registrations close 12pm Friday 29th March. \n \nCheck out the Athletes Guide for details and maps of the Rockhampton Women’s Only and Juniors Triathlon. \n \n\nEvent will be held at Rockhampton War Memorial Pool (South Side) with the swim in the pool\, transition in the carpark\, with a bike course around the Rockhampton Show Grounds and Huish Drive\, and finish with the run leg around Col Brown Park. \n \nYou have your choice of distances 300m Splash 9km Spin 2km Stroll or 600m Splash 18km Spin 4km Stroll.  On the day participants will start in waves with 10 ladies going off at a time. Roads will be closed for a safe event.\n \nFlippers or floaties can be used to get you through the swim if needed – teams are welcome but no sneaking the blokes in! Any bike is good to go for a spin on and if you only want to walk instead of run that is up to you.\n\n \nIndividual Cost: $35 per participant (includes one-day Triathlon Australia insurance) or $25 for Triathlon Australia members.\nTeam Cost: $15 per team member (you can have teams of two or three participate in each leg of the event).\n\n \n\n\nAs part of your registration\, our amazing event supporters will be hosting free clinics to help you improve your knowledge and skills in the lead up to the event.  Register early to secure a spot in one or all of these clinics.  Dates and times of all clinics still being finalised.\n\nMovement Improvement will be hosting a run clinic on Saturday 23rd March at 7:30am at Hegvold Stadium (Sir Raymond Huish Dr).You will need to wear exercise gear for running\, joggers and water.\nAqualification & Fitness will be hosting a swim clinic Sunday 24th March at 8:00am at North Rockhampton Pool (330-360 Berserker St)\nGiant Rockhampton will be hosting a bike maintenance clinic Wednesday 27th March at 6.00pm at Giant Rockhampton (123 Musgrave St)\n\n\n\n \nCheck out our website for more details on Triathlon‘s and heaps of information to help get you started if you’re not sure. DESCRIPTION:Tannum Sands is a gem of a venue that Frogs visit twice during the season.\n\nRace formats are the same as our Emu Park\, offering enticer and sprint options in duathlon\, aquathlon and triathlon. Junior aquathlon events are also included in the program when we are able to do so\, possibly on the Saturday afternoon before the event.\n\nTannum is a sweet little get-away too. Many of us head down on Saturday\, spend the afternoon relaxing\, catch a feed whilst we talk crap and then hit the sack before waking to the magic of Tannum and excitement of an event.
