SUMMARY:Tannum Sands December 2018
DESCRIPTION:Tannum Sands is a gem of a venue that Frogs visit twice during the season.\n\nRace formats are the same as our Emu Park\, offering enticer and sprint options in duathlon\, aquathlon and triathlon. Junior aquathlon events are also included in the program when we are able to do so\, possibly on the Saturday afternoon before the event.\n\nTannum is a sweet little get-away too. Many of us head down on Saturday\, spend the afternoon relaxing\, catch a feed whilst we talk crap and then hit the sack before waking to the magic of Tannum and excitement of an event.

SUMMARY:Southern Reef Regional Challenge 2018
DESCRIPTION:Details\nFitzroy Frogs are headed to Great Keppel Island (GKI) for a weekend of swimming\, running and random fun (SR&RF).\n\nAnd you are invited to join us.\n\nABOUT THE GKI SR&RF WEEKEND\n\nFor many years\, CQ athletes have looked out across Keppel Bay and wondered “why don’t we have an event on Great Keppel Island?”.\n\n“Wonder no more Central Queensland\, Frogs are heading to the island”\n\nWhen:                         Friday 19th October to Sunday 21st October\n\nWhy:                           Because we can\n\nWhat will we do:     Swim\, run and have lots of random fun\n\nEVENT DETAILS\n\nEvent details may vary a little\, but the program will look something like the following:\n\nSaturday morning:\n– Ocean swimming (3km\, 2km\, 1km and 500m events\, including all four if you are up to it)\n– The 3km swim will commence at 8:45\, which allows participants not already on the island to catch the 7:30am Keppel Konnections transfer from Rosslyn Bay harbour\n\nSaturday afternoon:\n– Random Fun – why not hire a kayak and/or some snorkelling gear from GKI adventures\, visit some of the nearby beaches\, practice your beach volleyball or find a shady spot under a palm tree\n– For anyone leaving the island on Saturday afternoon\, your transfer departs at 4:00pm\n– If anyone is keen\, some swim coaching may be available too\n\nSunday:\n– Trail running/hike (various distance options)\n– The run/hike will commence at 8:00am\, which allows participants not already on the island to catch the 6:45am “Special” Keppel Konnections transfer from Rosslyn Bay Harbour\n– Participants are required to return to the GKI Hideaway by 2pm\n– For those of us leaving the island on Sunday afternoon\, our transfer departs at 4:00pm\n\nEvents will be relatively non-competitive\, but participants will represent their Local Government area in “The Southern Reef Regional Challenge”\n\n“Event start times will be scheduled to allow participants to arrive on the early morning ferry\,\nbut please consider staying on the island to make the most of your weekend”\n\nEVENT ENTRY FEES\n\nPlease note that U15 distance constraints may apply (Craig is working on it).\n\n\n\n\nEvent Participant\nRegistration Fees\n\nTriathlon Australia Members\n\nNon-TA Members\nFamily\nMum and/or Dad and the Kids\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday Swim\nU15 Free / 15yrs+ $25\nU15 $25 / 15yrs+ $45\n$105\n\n\nSunday Run/Hike\nU15 Free / 15yrs+ $25\nU15 $25 / 15yrs+ $45\n$105\n\n\n\n“Online Event Registration will open in late September\,\nbut organise your friends and book your accommodation early”\n\nTRAVEL\, ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS\n\nTo maximise event participation “athletes” and their support crew are encouraged to be a little compromising with accommodation arrangements\, but we have secured the following 2-night packages with our friends at Great Keppel Island Hideaway & Keppel Konnections.\n\n“Ferry transfers and meals are included\, so all you need to do is\npack your togs and runners and get yourself to Rosslyn Bay Harbour”\n\n 2-Night Accommodation Package Costs:\n\n– Beachfront (quad share) $260 pp\n– Island (quad share)          $245 pp\n– Garden (tri share)             $240 pp\n– Bunkhouse (quad share) $220 pp\n– Safari Tent (twin share)   $220 pp\n\nTo book or make further enquiries about accommodation\, call or email Great Keppel Island Hideaway\nP: (07) 4939 2050\nE: bookings@gkihideaway.com.au\n\nAnd here’s the Menu:\n\nDay 1        Dinner            Roast buffet\nDay 2        Breakfast        Continental breakfast (hot breakfast upgrade available)\nDay 2        Lunch              BBQ buffet\nDay 2        Dinner             Parilla (Argentinian BBQ)\nDay 3        Breakfast        Continental breakfast (hot breakfast upgrade available)\nDay 3        Lunch              Fish and chips\n\nCOURSE MAPS\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nMORE INFORMATION\n\nNo doubt there will be many questions\, most of which I trust we can help you with and some for which I apologise in advance for not knowing the answer – yet.
