Emu Park delivered again. OK, conditions weren’t perfect, but how good was that – especially the swim and beach run?

It was a great morning – new participants, young participants, old and even older participants all putting in and hopefully getting something in return.

Super effort boys and girls, entertaining and inspiring.

Thanks again to Brett, Emu Park SLS, the CWA and our course volunteers.

Thanks also to Bikes on High and Giant Rockhampton for their contributions to the random draw – a very nice way to wrap up our morning.

That’s the end of Emu Park for this season, but please check out “The GKI” that is happening on the 15th and 16th of June. And of course, there is the Yeppoon Triathlon Festival in late July – so keep up the training and keep in touch with what’s happening at Frogs. Don’t forget that Try2 do something most Sundays, so if you need some company and some peculiar training options check out the Try2 Facebook page.

A great turn out to the first Emu Park event for 2019! Lots of new faces and friends from across the region joined the Frogs on a bit of a warm summers morning.

87 participants competed in Aquathon, Duathlon and Triathlon in the Enticer and Sprint distances.

Special thanks to all the volunteers that helped set up and run the events.

Australia Day Ocean Swim 2019

What a stunning morning at Emu Park and what a way to kick of a day of celebrating being Australian!

14 swimmers jumped in the water for the 3km, 30 swimmers in the 2km, and 35 swimmers in the 1km. A great turn out with people, not just locals, but some traveling from Gladstone, Mackay and Biloela.

A special thank you to Emu Park Surf Life Saving Club for the water safety and everyone who paddled on the day.

Fitzroy Frogs Club Tri & Tandathlon – Emu Park

At the Emu Park Club Event we offer an enticer (beginner) and sprint (short course) distances for triathlon, duathlon and aquathlon. And for a special event we also have our Sprint Tandathlon, swim a lap each, ride together on your tandem bike and then run a lap each! We can also cater for shorter Junior Frog distances in an aquathlon.

Australia Day Ocean Swim

If your child is coached (Triathlon, Swimming, Surf Lifesaving), please contact [email protected] and we can make exceptions on a case by case basis where the risk to all involved is low.
